On the 29th-30th May we had our annual Building Bridges to Boorowa tree planting weekend. We were greeted with 34 enthusiastic North Sydney volunteers and staff, ready to plant 3600 trees for local Boorowa landholders. Although a cold grey weekend, our volunteers rugged up and got planting, successfully completing the plantings at all 3 properties.
On Saturday we were greeted by special guest a new chair for Landcare Australia Peter Garrett AM. He was travelling alongside Landcare Australia’s Paul Della Libera and Melissa Higgins. It was great to have them visit Boorowa and see firsthand our special partnership with North Sydney Bushcare. It’s a truly special relationship and annual event which has been running for 27 years and it’s great to showcase this and the impact of the volunteers and landholders hard work over the years.
On Saturday evening we all shared a hot meal together and shared some stories. We can’t wait for 2027.
